“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.”

Psalm 139: 14-15
Today, let’s look at this miracle reminiscent of the impossible promise to Abraham through Jesus’ perspective instead of Mary’s. Try to think of the developing baby in the womb, conceived through the Holy Spirit. The author of creation subjected Himself to the process of creation.
I love to watch clips of babies growing through the stages of life. At four weeks, the embryo is the size of a poppy seed; at eight weeks it’s the size of a kidney bean. The infinite God of the universe—immutable and all-powerful—became tiny, vulnerable, dependent, and hidden inside a woman’s womb.
He left His heavenly home to find His home in utero. A kidney bean-sized God? Mind boggling! The virgin birth, a mystery we struggle to understand, is the key to our redemption. Only
Someone who was both man and God could accomplish the redemption we needed. This is our Jesus whose power is unlimited, humility infinite, and love unconditional. He could not have come any closer, humbled Himself any more, or done anything more loving than this.
