“And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”

Romans 10:15
My wife and I have felt humbled before the Lord at His designs to use our three children as missionaries in various places around the world. Each of them is among those beautifully afoot bringing the “good news,” as Paul says. They are in the “business” of saving souls!
Though we certainly prayed throughout their lives that our children would grow up to be useful in God’s kingdom, we never guessed what that would look like. There is no “secret formula” that makes kids choose the mission field as adults. Your grown children may be serving the Lord right at home in their neighborhoods, churches, or families. They do not need to go to the 10/40 window.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Luke 10:2). Pray, as Luke urges you to, that laborers—perhaps your own family members—will be inclined to step out and bring the good news of salvation to the friend across the street or to the searching soul on the other side of the world.
