“Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.”

Psalm 105:1
It’s a privilege to relate stories of God’s faithfulness over the many years of serving Him. Often a family member or friend will ask to “hear it again.” It’s a powerful reminder for me of the many times God has blessed, provided for and walked me through the challenges of ministry.
In Psalm 105, the psalmist seeks to awaken the people’s gratitude by recalling God’s goodness to them over many years. He urges them to give thanks, call on Him, sing praise, tell others, glory in Him, rejoice, look, seek and remember. These are beautiful prompts for us, too.
These verses in Psalm 105 were the focus of the Bible study for law enforcement officers I meet with. One of them said, “There’s my devotional outline to share with others!” The story of our faith and the stories of how the Lord has providentially led us invite God’s people to thank and praise Him. Imagine… an event from your own life could be instrumental in building the faith of someone else. Pray that the Lord might use your life to point others to Jesus Christ and all He has done.
