"May God himself...sanctify you...may your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls
you is faithful and he will do it."
(1 THESSALONIANS 5:23-24)

Romans 8:35-39;
Hebrews 6:13-20
Centuries ago men like Martin Luther, John Calvin, and others saw that we are saved by God’s grace alone, bringing followers of Jesus through the ages back to the simple truths of the Gospel. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8-9). In other words, grace precedes faith. Being made right before God rests solely upon Christ’s finished work for us. Saving faith is given to us by God. Since then salvation is solely of God, it is also eternal.

What comfort in knowing that God will not only save us, but that salvation is in His hands alone – He will keep us saved! There’s a story about a Christian mom whose son rejected the faith and caustically remarked, “Mother, you are so insignificant in God’s eyes that He could easily forget about you.” The mother answered, “Yes, son, God could forget about me. But He would lose much more than I would lose. He would lose His integrity.” The Bible assures us that will never happen!
