"The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed...that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God."
(ROMANS 8:19, 21)

Genesis 3
There is much controversy today in both the scientific community and the public over the topics of climate change, deforestation, and endangered species on our planet. Although there is disagreement on the specific cause, many people fear that our earth’s resources are in decay or decline.

The first chapters of Genesis offer an ultimate cause for the death and decay of God’s creation. God declared each stage of His creation “good,” and blessed all living creatures, including mankind, by commanding them, “Be fruitful and multiply.” He distinguished mankind from the other creatures by creating him – male and female – in His image, giving him rule over the rest of creation. God gave but one command, and they disobeyed it. Sin entered the world, and the result of sin is death – not only for mankind, but for everything he ruled, too.

Jesus came to earth in our fleshly image to reverse death and redeem us to God. When He returns, the revealed children of God and all of creation will be forever freed from decay!
