"This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."
(JOHN 15:8)

Matthew 5:14-16
When God is glorified in my life, the disciples of Jesus are strengthened. As I share what God has done for me, He actually uses my circumstances – even the ones I struggle in – to strengthen believers around me. It’s awesome to think that as I walk in faith, taking the painful times as well as the peaceful, I can share in giving glory to God. The fruit of walking near to Jesus and proclaiming His goodness and grace heartens me, though the going at times is tough.

If a disciple is one who embraces and assists in spreading the teachings of another, we begin to see the connection between the idea of our bearing fruit and the idea of bringing the good news of Jesus to others. The words we use and the actions we show may point another person to Christ. We probably all know a believer whose gracious giving of self does in fact give glory to God. He or she is a person in whom God grows the fruit. Let the solid truth of Jesus’ love for you and His forgiveness of your sins compel you to give Him all the glory.
