"But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it."
(Numbers 14:24)

Numbers 13:16-33
In prison, it was often easy to give in to discouragement. Nearly all of life’s freedoms were taken from me. Even the smallest details of my life were beyond my control. I sometimes found myself tempted to complain against the Lord. Have you ever felt trapped and resorted to complaining about it to God?

Caleb walked by faith and not by sight. He didn’t join with those who brought back false reports of the Promised Land to Moses. He saw the same “giants” the other spies saw, but he looked at them in light of God’s Word. He knew that even the biggest giant is a grasshopper in the sight of the Lord.

Following God fully means surrendering wholeheartedly to His will for your life, even if it means facing the “giants” you fear most. If there is sin separating you from God, forsake it and run straight to the cross. Jesus is the perfect example of what it means to follow God fully. “For the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).
