“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 15:57
Our culture seems fixated with getting the perfect body. We are overrun with diets, exercise and surgery to restore our appearance, vigor and vitality. It is clear we realize that our bodies are imperfect.
One of the exciting truths of Easter is that God has promised us we will one day have a perfect body. Jesus’ resurrection is directly connected to our resurrection, complete with a redeemed body (Romans 8:23). These bodies are going to be amazing. They will be imperishable—not wear out, grow old, or be subject to any kind of illness. They will be glorious—magnificent and attractive. They will be raised in power—have the full and complete human power that God intended. They will be spiritual—fully tuned in to the Holy Spirit for perfect living and learning.
Praise God for Jesus’ victorious resurrection guaranteeing our victory over death with a perfect body when He returns. It will be a new body that will be perfectly suited for living eternally, and it will far outdo any human perfect body we try to achieve.
