"You guide me with your counsel, and
afterward you will take me into glory."
(PSALM 73:24)

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Every one of us ought to wake up each morning knowing this may be the day we leave earth and move on to our heavenly home. Do you ever long for that glorious day? Perhaps I face it more startlingly than you do because of cancer, but the truth of our lives ending is staring us all down.

Often I am tempted to dwell on how I thought my life would be as a writer and a wife and a mom. But I have been led down a different path than the one I’d always imagined. I walk in faith down a hard road that some of you may be walking right along with me.

When the Lord presents you with one kind of trial or another, how will you answer Him? Jesus stood alone facing the cross and its shame. He asked the Father to take away the agony before Him if it was at all possible. Then in the same breath He said, “Yet not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42).

Look beyond the agony of this moment and know that the eternal weight of glory ahead far outweighs the current suffering and trials you face.
He cares for you!
