"Let the redeemed of the LORD say this - those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south."
(Psalm 107:2-3)

Genesis 48
The story of Joseph is so precious to me! It has ministered to me on many levels, especially while going through my own loss, change, waiting and wondering. I’m convicted and challenged when I observe how Joseph was able to trust and forgive so completely because of his unwavering confidence in God’s love for him.

I’m moved when I see Joseph live in expectant hope through long seasons of waiting for fulfillment of God’s good promises by believing in God’s good purposes. In Joseph, I find encouragement for how to respond to out-of-control situations. All of these form the legacy of faith that Joseph has left us, and most importantly, the pointing that Joseph gives us to Jesus!

Consider the legacy you are leaving with your story. We all have one, and yours is given you to re-tell the Gospel of Jesus’ redeeming love, giving hope to others. The parts that you want to edit out or even remove entirely are the very things that God may use to point others to Him. Ask Him to give you courage to tell it for His glory.
