"I know, O Lord, that your laws are righteous,
and in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
May your unfailing love be my comfort..."
(PSALM 119:75-76)

Psalm 119:73-80
It’s humbling to be on the receiving end of difficult times. Suddenly, we are reminded of what was true all along: we are not in control. It’s also a mystery to us how our weakness becomes a tool in the Master’s hand to strengthen and change us. None of us would choose such times, but God uses them for our good.

With FEBC radio staff on Okinawa during the Vietnam War, we were privileged to offer hope to our service men and women and their families. Radio broadcasting was more than just good music and news reporting; it was a voice of hope, comfort, and the love of Jesus for desperate times. We could bring that message from behind a microphone to the multitudes stationed there. We offered solid biblical answers and direction for the complexities of life. One friend simply said, “Thank you for being here. I came with anger, and am leaving with Jesus in my life.”

Let the grace, comfort and forgiveness of Jesus cover over your afflictions. What He has done for people in the past,
He can do for you today.
