"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together... but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
(HEBREWS 10:24-25)

1 Corinthians 12:12-27
Have you ever truly gone hungry? We all know that one hearty meal every few weeks is inadequate for our nutritional needs. Starvation reduces a body to skin and bones, and causes weakness, mental failure, and ultimately, death.

Nor are we intended to starve for spiritual nutrition. To remain spiritually healthy, we need a steady diet of time alone with God and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. No wonder the Bible instructs us not to neglect meeting together. Jesus spent countless hours with His closest disciples, honing their understanding of His purpose in coming and His plan for their lives. They ate, slept, listened and laughed together!

Gifts of hospitality should ever serve this cause, whether in organizing food and events within the church or under our own roofs. Bringing people together to educate, encourage and comfort one another is a crucial function of God’s Kingdom. And those who do it well can teach the younger and less experienced hosts and hostesses, hungry to learn!
