Receiving and enjoying God’s salvation is not complicated. It’s been said that salvation is as close as your mouth and heart. When we believe in our hearts and openly tell others that Christ is our risen Lord, we have the assurance of our salvation. Think how far-reaching this is. Whatever nation you are from, whatever language you speak, whatever your upbringing, the confession of Jesus as Lord documents you as a child of God. Christ’s death and resurrection validate His claims and the Father’s statements that He is God.
While we live in a tangled mess of confusion and misinformation, we admit that there is not much security in our world or in our lives today. So being rightly related to God is vital. He is our security!
You could start with a simple prayer asking God to forgive your sin and rebellion. Tell Him you want Him to be Lord of your life. Know that the decisions you make will either bring you closer to or further from Him. With your confession of Him as your Savior today, your future is not uncertain.
