"Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face. Indeed, this will turn out for my deliverance..."
(JOB 13:15-16)

Psalm 6
Job was upright and faithful, a man after God’s own heart. God allowed Satan to test Job through trials that would take nearly everything except his life from him. Throughout those dark days, Job continued to hope in God.

I remember the darkest day of my life. It was in the summer of 2008. I had lost all hope of living a normal life. My life was filled with chaos, and I wondered why God wouldn’t intervene and fix it. I committed a crime that would land me in prison for 17 years. Before my imprisonment, I never sought help and didn’t realize that I had to repent and seek God with my whole heart.

No matter how hard things get, put all of your trust in the Lord. Sometimes God will allow us to go through storms in order to help us see how much we need Him and to realize our only hope is in Him. In prison, while attending a reformed seminary, God is helping me to grow in hope. I’ve traveled some difficult roads because I would not listen to Him. Now I see that He is my only hope for salvation and peace!
