“Having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Colossians 2:15
Give some thought today to where you are with regard to Jesus. Perhaps, like Peter, you’re compelled by Him but stumble along the way and even have denied Him. Your heart may be heavy with the weight of your sin. Look to the cross!

You might be like John, coming first to Jesus with bravado and scorn for those who don’t see it your way. You long to be a disciple of love. Look to the cross!

Are you approaching Easter like Thomas, craving intimacy with the Almighty but harboring doubts? Look to the cross!

Maybe you are Judas, having been close to Jesus at one time, but feeling disillusioned now because you haven’t experienced the Jesus you wanted. Look to the cross!

Does the Pharisee in you keep rearing its head, causing you to look down on people around you, from the pew in church to the table with family gathered? Look to the cross!

Are you Pilate—avoiding the question of Jesus though He keeps confronting you? Or are you Joseph or Nicodemus, ready to declare your allegiance to the One who died and rose again for you? Then run to the cross today!
