"Come, I will show you the bride,
the wife of the Lamb."
(REVELATION 21:9B)

Isaiah 62:1-5
What does God see when He looks upon this world? What excites Him? On what does He focus His all-seeing eyes, night and day? I believe the apple of His eye, so to speak, is His kingdom made up of people of countless cultures. He sees them constantly and He works to spread His Gospel into every nation and alleyway of this world. Of course, He sees national borders, like the maps we have drawn. But in His eyes, their importance fades when He views His body on the earth, spread across racial, national and cultural lines. His major concern is for the welfare and growth of His kingdom on the earth, not on the nations as such.

In the book of Revelation John saw the prepared bride of Christ, called out of all tribes and nations. He loves the bride and the bride loves Him. That love bond is eternal and stronger than death itself. And certainly it is stronger than any nationalism. The Holy Spirit calls, “Come, see the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” As His bride, you are destined to be joined with Christ forever!
