“Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits… from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.”

Psalm 103:2, 17
Jean-Henri Merle d’Aubigné was a Swiss Protestant minister who wrote in 1827 about the practice of having family devotions. One thought of his in particular stands out to me: “The great matter is that God be not forgotten under your roof.”
This is really what Haven Ministries has been about for the past 85 years—that God be not forgotten under your roof. Its radio broadcasts, daily devotional words, book and music offerings, prayer ministry—all of these have sought for decades to be sure that the Lord is at the center of your home and your heart.
I remember being a kid sitting around the big console radio at my grandma’s house to hear The Haven of Rest show. We heard the ship’s horn, the ringing of eight bells, The Haven of Rest song, and First Mate Bob with his message about Jesus. I never would have guessed that the Lord would prepare my heart some 40 years later to be an integral part of this ministry. Since 2008 I have been working with Haven to help tell the great story that’s all about Jesus. May He never be forgotten under your roof!
