"I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh,
praise the greatness of our God!"
(DEUTERONOMY 32:3)

Deuteronomy 32:3-4
What a journey it had been for the Israelites. They went from cruel slavery in Egypt to the picture of God’s redemption – the blood of the lambs applied to the doorposts at the first Passover – and the miraculous deliverance through the Red Sea. They traveled with God’s faithful provision of manna through 40 years of wandering and knew the constant demonstration of His majesty – “That they might know that I am the Lord.”

Moses couldn’t restrain himself as he burst forth in song at the end of his life. “I will proclaim the name of the Lord… All his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong…”

How much more ought we to burst into songs of worship as we contemplate the One who died for us? God’s ways are just; His grace is unbounded. He won’t wink at our sin. But His love is so strong that He gave His Son to fulfill His righteousness. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
