“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Jeremiah 32:27
Peter was in prison, and the believers were praying earnestly for his release. Did they expect him to be miraculously freed overnight? Actually, it seems not, because when Peter knocked on the door, no one believed it was really him (Acts 12:15). They were “astonished” when he entered the room. God had answered their prayers in a much bigger way than they expected.
My friend Mary and her family faced some financial challenges while they were providing hospice care for her mother. They were able to make ends meet during a difficult time until their only working car died. This unexpected expense sent Mary crying out to the Lord. A few days later, her friend drove up and said she wanted to give Mary’s family a car they were no longer using. Mary was astonished! God had answered her cry in a far bigger way than she expected.
Though your request seems impossible, keep praying your prayers in faith. The Lord knows what you need and when you need it. Why even be astonished at His lavish goodness? Is anything too hard for Him?
