"I was glad when Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you. For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition."
(1 CORINTHIANS 16:17-18)

Colossians 4:7-15
There are certain people that come along at just the right time in our lives and “refresh” our spirits. They supply at the perfect moment what we seem to need most. I suspect that you have thanked those people in your life wholeheartedly as I also have.

You may be that person who has refreshed others. You may be a “Stephanas” or “Fortunatus” to someone. You are not alone in these good efforts. Do you recall how Elijah felt alone (even after the great spiritual victory on Mount Carmel)? Yet there were 7,000 working for the Lord that Elijah wasn’t even aware of!

Sometimes our ministry efforts seem to accomplish little. We may feel the deep valley of exhaustion that comes after the “mountain top experiences.” Be assured that the Lord has other workers to help us that we are not aware of. Pray for those who can assist you. They are there even if you don’t see them. The Lord will direct them to you. And they will “refresh” your spirit. “He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:25).
