“…That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.”

Ephesians 1:19-20
If you’ve visited Niagara Falls, along with 22.5 million others each year, you’ve felt its pounding, crushing power just from the sideline. In 1895 the tons of water crashing over its cliffs led to the building of the largest power station of its day.
This Easter be awed by an even greater power source: Jesus Christ and His resurrection. The same mighty power of God that raised Jesus from the dead now works in us. It is a power that Paul said he wanted to experience (Philippians 3:10). How do we do that?
We experience resurrection power when we are made alive in Him. Before Christ we were dead spiritually. By placing our faith in Jesus, we are made alive (Ephesians 2:4-6). In His grip we can triumph over sin (Romans 6:14) and be emboldened for ministry. After His resurrection Jesus promised, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you” (Acts 1:8).
What a great God who allows us to experience the awe of His resurrection. May He be more magnificent in your life than the most stunning waterfall!
