"Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it, Earth and sky fled from his presence, and
there was no place for them."
(REVELATION 20:11)

Revelation 20:11-15
Recently, I met a young man I’ll call “Doug.” He had just been released from jail an hour before and was now waiting for a ride to pick him up and take him home. He was only 20 years old but had already been in and out of jail for various offenses. We talked candidly about where all this was leading. He was surprised when I told him a life of drugs and the possibility of prison were not his biggest problems.

That day I shared with Doug that his biggest difficulty was not earthly authorities. Rather, the problem is that he was guilty before God. He was living his life on spiritual death row – it was just a matter of time. But then I told him he could be forgiven and set free through Jesus.

All of us will stand before the judgment seat of God. If you are a believer, you have nothing to fear. When you were born again, your sins – past, present, and future – were all forgiven through Jesus’ atoning death on the cross. Your name and mine are entered into the book of life, and they’re written in permanent ink.
