“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Proverbs 3:5-6
I was a full-time professor teaching communication and film at a local Christian college. The school was facing difficult times, however, and I was told it might not continue. I was anxious. I’d never been without a job before. But I asked the Lord to help me trust that He would provide.
So I began looking for work. I remembered that a former student from our college was Charles Morris’ assistant. I asked him if Haven Ministries might have a need for a video producer. In God’s providence, they were looking for a radio producer at that very time!
After a couple of interviews, Charles offered me the job. I was so grateful to see how abundantly the Lord provided. My commute went from two hours to 10 minutes! The school was able to survive, so I stayed on as an adjunct professor in the evenings for a few years.
The Lord has used Haven to teach me to trust Him more and see that life truly is all about Jesus. What a privilege to be a part of writing, producing, and creating programs that are filled with grace and point others to Jesus.
