"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
(2 Corinthians 5:17)

2 Corinthians 5:16-21
Stop to think about what it means that you are a new creation in Christ. You may recall the moment you first believed; there was something radically new then. You began to know God for the first time. It was indeed then that He changed you into a new creation in Christ.

But do we understand that we are new creatures in Christ every day, not just at the beginning of our spiritual journey with Him? Often in our daily living we see much more of the old creature than the new creation in Christ. We like the mud and mire of life where things are easy. We find ourselves repeating the same old sins, sins that are like slop to a hog – it makes you filthy, but it still feels good.

In our Christian life we want the benefits of Christ, but we don’t always want our lives to be changed – at least not that much. There are many familiar and secret areas we’d like to keep to ourselves.

Go back to your Father who has been longing for your return. Receive the life He has for you. You and others will be blessed beyond imagination.
