“Deliver me and rescue me from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.”

Psalm 144:11
SAT If you were training for war, you would need to learn all you can about your enemy. In spiritual warfare, you do much the same. Imposters will wear an outer appearance of Christianity but will deceive with empty words, proclaiming a gospel not of grace (see Galatians 1:6-10). In knowing the Lord Jesus deeply through His Word and His Spirit, God faithfully equips us for the fight of our lives.
Jesus said, “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them… every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit” (Matthew 7:15-17).
Christ’s truth permeates our hearts and minds as we pray and dwell on His words. While it’s true we can defend ourselves with spiritual weapons (the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit), our greatest comfort is that our Savior has gone ahead of us and has already won the battle for us!
