“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and
eat with him, and he with me.”

Revelation 3:20
God has every right to enter our lives. After all, He created us. In making us in His own image, He gave us an immense capacity to know Him and find our delight in Him.
But each of us is a part of the human race which is by nature estranged from God. Our wrongdoings separate us from the One who created us. In unfathomable love—love as of a parent who would go to the ends of the earth for his child— God provided a way for us to be reconciled to Him. Our finite minds can hardly grasp the depth of the price He paid: His own Son’s life in exchange for ours so we might be made right with Him. He bids us to come in and eat with Him. Think of the table set before you at the Lord’s Supper, the meal signifying that deep love.
He can’t help His never-stopping love. Twice we are His: made by His hand, and bought by His blood. But He is at one of two places today. Either He is standing at the door and knocking, or He has entered your life and you are enjoying fellowship with Him. Won’t you let Him in? He is waiting just for you!
