"There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up."
(EXODUS 3:2)

Exodus 3:1-6
I was sharing with my friend Dave some real consternation at the silence of God and His seeming absence when I needed Him the most. He said, “Ron, don’t ever forget this great theological truth: ‘When nothing’s happening, something’s happening.'”

Four hundred years of God’s seeming absence from His people… forty years of His seeming absence from Moses while he tended sheep. But behind the scenes, God was sovereignly at work. When nothing seemed to be happening, something
was happening!

It was an ordinary, routine day when it started out. With every year the ground got harder for Moses in his tent, the muscles more sore each morning. But when God was ready, He really showed up! A bush that burned but was not consumed. A command to remove his shoes because he was on holy ground.

Jesus so often did the same thing. A man blind from birth; a woman many years hemorrhaging; a tax collector deep in sin. But at just the right time, Jesus shows up and life is changed. Get ready; this may be your day!
