"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."
(PSALM 119:105)

Psalm 119: 129-144
Our stunning Creator gave us a myriad of ways in which to communicate with each other. The most prized composers, artists, writers, and singers give faint echoes of the astonishing creativity of our God.

While we may not all grasp the messages in the works of Beethoven or Picasso or Dostoevsky, our God communicates to us plainly through His Spirit-breathed Word, His creation, and of course through a person: Jesus Christ. Everyone loves a good story; what can compare to the beautiful account of a good Prince who left His kingdom for a faraway land to buy back the ones He loved?

The writer of Psalm 119 says in verse 111 that the words of Scripture are “the joy of my heart.” Have you ever thought of God’s words as so treasured and cherished that they are the joy of your heart?

Hide God’s word in your heart (v. 11). You will be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks for the reason for your hope (see 1 Peter 3:15). Tell the powerful story of the great Savior who forgives our sins. Joyfully spread the words of life!
