Joy – An Irish Christmas is a unique celebration of Christmas with Keith and Kristyn alongside players from their band and a host of guest Irish musicians including several virtuoso traditional players. It is a collection of traditional carols and new carols co-written by the duo and Stuart Townend.

Keith and Kristyn Getty have been at the forefront of the modern hymn movement over the past decade demonstrating the ability to successfully bridge the gap between the traditional and contemporary. The album provided a fresh opportunity to explore many new creative avenues in their work as composers of instrumental music, jigs and reels as well as hymns, songs and high energy arrangements with special inspiration coming from the birth of their first child Eliza Joy whose name sparked the title!
