Contributing Scholars:

Tremper Longman III (Ph.D., Yale) is the Robert H. Gundry Professor of Biblical Studies at Westmont College. He has written numerous articles and authored or coauthored over twenty books, including commentaries on several books of the Old Testament. He coedited and wrote articles for The Dictionary of the Old Testament: Wisdom, Poetry and Writings. He is one of the main translators of the New Living Translation and has served as a consultant on other translations of the Bible.

Mark L. Strauss (Ph.D., Aberdeen) is professor of New Testament at Bethel Seminary San Diego. He is the author of various books and articles, including Four Portraits, One Jesus: An Introduction to Jesus and the Gospels; How to Choose a Translation for All It's Worth (with Gordon D. Fee); The Essential Bible Companion (with John Walton); and Luke in the Zondervan Illustrated Bible Background Commentary.

Daniel Taylor (Ph.D., Emory) is professor of English at Bethel University and is the author of six books, including Tell Me a Story: The Life-Shaping Power of Our Stories; and In Search of Sacred Places: Looking for Wisdom on Celtic Holy Islands. He is cofounder of The Legacy Center, an organization devoted to helping individuals and organizations identify and preserve the values and stories that have shaped their lives. He is a contributing editor of Books and Culture.
