Giving thanks to God is a way of life for every person who walks closely with Jesus. Life itself is a priceless gift, and there are countless smaller gifts every day.

PROMO

Whether a bag of rice or a well with water, God uses his creation to bring people to faith in Jesus and for that we can give thanks. I’m CM inviting you to join me on the next HT, Thanksgiving Day in American for a program called “Thanks be to God”.

NOW

2 teaspoons ginger, two teaspoons cinnamon, one teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg, one-fourth teaspoon ground cloves, 1 cup dark brown sugar, one-half teaspoon salt, 2/3 cup heavy cream, 2/3 cup milk and four large eggs. You have an idea where I’m going? You also need two cups pumpkin and the crust I always try to coax my wife into making -- her famous butter crust – none of those store-bought pie shells in the freezer section. And of course real whipped cream. The way to move into a richer fuller life of joy is to begin to notice, to see, and to name the gifts we have from God. And to give thanks to him for all of it -- from the greatness of our salvation and it’s incredibly great cost down to every little good thing he built into creation. “My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord; Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.”

OPEN

For everything – whether it’s pumpkin pie or a turkey dinner with others we love, we can be thankful. We can give thanks for the greatness of our salvation and for all the gifts He sends – little gifts and big gifts … but most of all the gift of Jesus.

Swell

Welcome to HT, I’m CM sharing the GS that’s all about Jesus and a program called “Thanks be to God”. In the next few minutes I want you to give thanks with me as we meet with the director of
#1 (NEW) - Most of us give Christmas gifts to our family and friends. But what would it look like this year if we decided make Jesus our priority in giving? Sharing our hope in Christ intentionally through our gift giving? There are many ways to do that, but this Christmas, HAVEN Today is teaming up with Keith & Kristyn Getty and a network of churches across North America to help you do just that.

Over the next few weeks, when you make a $25 donation to Haven, we will not only send you a copy of the CD Joy - An Irish Christmas and will donate a 2nd copy of the same CD to a family in need. Each CD will come with a clear presentation of the gospel and will accompany gifts of food and toys being distributed by the churches. I invite you to "Give Jesus" with us. This is a limited time offer with limited supplies, so visit our website at Haventoday.org or call us day or night at 1.800.653.2836 (65-HAVEN).

#2 Give Jesus ... this Christmas. It's easy to give a gift that you can buy at a store and wrap up in a box, but how can you give the one Hope and Savior of the world? How do you give Jesus? This Christmas Haven Ministries wants to help you do just that. As part of our "Give Jesus" effort this Christmas, Haven is partnering with recording artists Keith & Kristyn Getty. When you make a gift of $25 to Haven Ministries, you will receive the CD Joy - An Irish Christmas and Haven will send the same CD to a family in need. Each CD will be delivered with clear presentation of the gospel along with toys and food from one of our partner churches across America. Make your gift at haventoday.org or by calling us day or night at 1.800.653.2836 (65-HAVEN).
