Thoughts from Haven listeners:

Thought it was great. I started January 23, 2007 and today April 21, 2007 I finished reading the entire bible! Now when I hear pastors on the radio, I can enjoy even more the teachings because I have read the parts of the Bible that are being taught. Now I am going on a 1 year reading schedule to re-enforce what I have already read and it will give me more time to do Bible study on what I read. Thanks for this 90 day program. I suggest it to anyone who has the extra time and is serious about getting God's word into their mind and life.

While I finished a day late, including the two grace days which I needed. The experience was huge for me personnally. On the last day when I had a bit over two days worth of reading to do, I paused and prayed. Praying especially for this experience to impact not only myself but also my family. I then started with 1 Peter 3 :8, and it was the perfect verse for a rather unpleasnt famly get together that we had the night before that seemed to go south quicker than a flock of geese in Noveember. I read the verse to two members of the gathering who are not committed Christians. One was nearly speechless and the other commented that that was a beautiful verse. Its been two days, and I am getting antsy to get started on my next reading project. Thanks again for the exciting project. Sincerely, John Dick Salins, CA

I'm a few days behind schedule, but I'm really enjoying it. I've been busy at school and read as often as I can. I sarted on April 1st and am trying to keep up with the people reading it on the Mars Hill Network. Some of the stuff that I've read really fits with what I'm going through right now and I'm glad that I undertook this endevear!

Actually, it seemed as though "it couldn't be done." However, I started the program. I have to tell you there were days that it was tough, but I kept on because I made the commitment. During the last 10 days it was as though I was in a race. I finished! And praise God, I know that it can be done and I may do it again.

I aquired one of the 90 day bibles from WMBV Radio in Dixons Mill, Alabama. I gor it sometime in February, of 2007. I decided that it would be a great addition to my Lenten Season Discipline, calcualting that in the 90 days, I would finish my reading by Pentecost. So I began my reading somewhere around Ash Wednesday. So, away I went. The fact that early on Easter Sunday, I was reading Isaiah 52 and following I truly felt was no coincidence, and I wept. I finished "The Book" on Friday before Pentecost. I know now that I for sure have read the Bible from cover to cover. Been keeping score for many years now, and always THOUGHT I had completted the job several times. But know I KNOW and will do it again now for further study.A friend of mine has signed up with his Church to start the study in July. We will continue to encourage him and his group as we journey through the summer. Love to all Craig, St. John's Episcopal Church, Monroeville, aL

I have listen to your program a few times. The program that impacted me was the one about the missionaries that got murdered by muslims, they were stabed to death and someone tried to open the door but when he did it was too late. I could see those images in my head and I wondered what would I have done, and can't wait for our LORD JESUS CHRIST to come back!!! when I hear things like that. How sad it is when all you hear in the news is about stupid people being incarserated for driving drunk, while satan is getting away with evil and people don't have the guts to say something. Sometimes I feel that WE should stop being cowards and come out. I pray that GOD will give us the strenght that we need everyday to face evil and say what evil is,because after all when we go to be with our LORD we will have to give an account for our quietness. Enough with my anger. I would like to thank you for encouraging us to read the bible in 90 days, I believe that we all need it regardless of our time of being christians. The more we read the better, especially in this days. Thank you for the challenge and everything you do in your ministry I know GOD is using you because you have inspired me to send this message, and others will be inspired in other ways.I will also begin reading, I know that time is short only GOD knows if we will be here tomorrow,so we better have something to show the LORD of our time here on earth. May GOD bless you and everything you do for HIM.

I heard about the 90 day challenge while I was in the middle of a college summer course. At the time, I was swamped with studying for the course, but I wantes to do it as soon as I had finished. The Monday after my course finished, I decided to start my reading, but I only had two months since I had classes in the fall. I have had a chronological Bibe for years that I had barely touched. I decided to use this for the challenge. It has been 15 days since I started, and I am more than one quarter of the way through. Even though I am doing 30 pages a night, I don't feel rushed and am enjoying the time in God's Word. Thanks for the challenge!!

Congratulations to all of you who read through the Bible in 90 days! What an accomplishment! It can be done, right?! If you prioritize that, God makes it possible. I consistently encourage people to get through the Bible every year, since I just loved what God did for me through it the first time I did. So with the 90-day spurt, one could possibly read the Bible twice in one year--once at warp speed and one at "normal" speed. Awesome! Well, of all the things I caught this time through(like that Jesus didn't do anything He didn't see the Father doing--are we?, and that Nicodemus brought 70 pounds of spices to Jesus' tomb [wow! expensive, I imagine], God has buried MICAH 6:7 in my brain. This verse absolutely stunned me. From the Scripture song, I well-knew Micah 6:8, but hear its preceding verse: "Does the Lord take delight in thousands of rams, In ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?" Wow, what a thought! Exactly what the Father did, though, for us. I also enjoyed finding where Matt and Beth Redman got the idea for the song Phillips, Craig, and Dean popularized--"Let My Words Be Few"--Solomon wrote them in Ecclesiastes 5:2. I'll blog back after my next "90 days!"

After hearing about the 90 day Bible reading, I ran off a schedule and started. I am not a fast reader and it is taking me more time than 30 min. a day but I am being blessed by this challenge Personally I have tried several times to read the Bible thru but I not really made it. I have taught Sunday School and have been though several different Bible Studies. This is a new experience and so far I have enjoyed the reading. I am seeing more of the big picture because of the not starting and stopping so much. It just feels more cohesive. Sadie

Thank you Mark Zimmerman for inviting me to read through the Bible in 90 days, I took it as a personal invitation, I got on board very late 2/29/08, viewed the schedule online and started reading 3/1/08, and I thank my God, this has increased my prayer life, ( need Jesus to get through this). The weekend was no problem, Monday, I realized I may not make it during the week and I remember hearing a lady on the morning program say she used CD's, well, I remember seeing Bible CD's in the Dollar Store and I was able to find Genesis 37-50, all of Levitcus and I am still looking. God is so good about a month ago I stared getting really bored with television, so I started getting books to read, they got boring also, I really belieive Almighty God was preparing me for this adventure. This is a wonderful experience for me, I have read through the Bible at least twice and it took forever, now, I can't wait to get to my reading time. Thanks again for the invite, the only problem I have now is I listen to my CD's on the way to work and I miss the Morning Team. Keep up the good work. Beverly A. Saunders

I am reading this through for the second time. This is a good way to read - quickly - and gain a good overview of the Bible. This year, I started reading with WCRF (radio in Cleveland) - they put out the challenge and many responded. My plan is to read the Bible once each year in the 90-day timeframe. I am amazed that I glean so much information so reading it quickly year after year should help me gain a deeper understanding of God's plan for us. Thank you and I encourage all of you to stay on track - keep reading - You will be blessed!

WRCF in Cleveland presented the challenge and I started March 1. It has been such a blessing to read through and underline important passages. I was snowbound in Columbus this last weekend at a motel - a concert was cancelled - and had plenty of time to read. I'm way ahead of schedule at the moment. It is compelling, a blessing, and I am excited with each book of the Bible. I've read the Bible through many times but never this fast. It's challenging and I'm throughly being blessed each day! God's word gives such peace!

I am a few days behind but in the process of playing catchup to where we are now. This experience is awesome, now when I hear certain things being discussed in church or on WCRF's morning show and afternoon shows I can put it all together, for instance, the story of Joseph was brought to our attention on the morning show - Joseph being second to the Pharaoh - this is found in Exodus - Jacobs son Joseph's story - I knew this, I would not have know if I was not reading the bible. I am truly so humbled that we all fall short to the Glory of God to be finally reading God's Word, wow, I am blessed to know and be loved by a God such as ours. Having an understanding of who we are, how we got here and where and what to expect is so important to me and the way is God's Word. The true PEACE of mind. Remember the reason for the cross and our Risen Savior this Easter Sunday - may you be blessed.

I started reading late, (20 Days) because I could not find the schedule. But when I finally found it I shared it with a friend who is recupperating in the hospital, and issued the challenge to her. I feel really encouraged that even though I began late and sometime I can't get the reading done for the day I try to stay on schedule, but sometime I continue with the previous days reading because it speaks to me and is really interesting. I know I will not complete all the reading by the end of the 90 days it'll just take me a little longer to complete the scheduled reading. With the Lords guidance and help I know it will be done. I feel the most important thing is to read his word and if it takes me a longer time well so be it. I thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts and experience and I thank God for you and your team. In Christ,Vicki

I have read the Bible from cover to cover twice in a period of 15 years and I'm strting to do so again. It is really an enlightening book and guide for life. However, I have reservations about the old testament. I find some books shocking kind of violent and sexually explicit. What do you think? I am hesitant to recommend young people to read the old testament.

Well, I began the Read Through the Bible in 90 Days program and kept up until sometime during the New Testament. I was preparing my Dad's 80th birthday party, (Yea, Dad!!) and even more, I just had to read all the "side-notes" in my Bible further explaining the scriptures! But I'm NOT GIVING UP!! I have still been reading through the Bible daily, and thanking our Lord for every minute! I was raised and have attended a wonderful Bible-teaching church, Barberton Friends Church, Barberton, OH, since the day I was born. I've heard the Bible stories taught and preached over and over. But I still can't believe how much of the truth my mind and soul missed; how much I didn't "hear." Each time I sit down to read my Bible, I ask the Lord, the Holy Spirit, to walk with me through it. He has, and He is teaching me so much! I have cherished this time we spend together. "Ask, and you shall receive!" I also receive "Today in the Word" by mail, and I have used this as a study guide for the past couple of years. It is just a wonderful source of Bible study! Thank you, Moody! I shall continue to use this, along with our Sunday School class booklet, to study God's messages to us and to draw closer to Him. Thank you, Lord, and Haven Ministries/Moody/WCRF 103.3, Cleveland, OH, for providing this wonderful means to step forward in faith with our brothers and sisters in learning more about our Lord and His will for our lives! What a wonderful experience! And like me, if you haven't finished, DON'T GIVE UP!! Not until we cross that "finish line!..."

I loved the 90 Day reading. Im 13 years old and was able to read through the whole Bible in less than 90 days so now I know that anyone can do it. This was a realy great experience and I learned a whole lot about God and the Bible. I am going to read the Bible now in a year so I can learn even more than what I know so far about the Bible Because you can always learn more about the Bible every time you read it. If you are doing this 90 day reading stick to it because it feels great to finish it and you will learn so much. Don't give.

I made the 90 day journey in 2008 and am now doing it again this year. At first I wasn't going to read it again, but benefitted so much from the overview of Scripture as a whole the last time, that I couldn't resist makng the journey again. I find that I don't get as panicked or upset when I get a day or so behind the second time around. I knwo that the benefits of keeping at it are well worth the time invested. It is wonderful to see God's mercy extended from the time of the fall in the Garden even into my own life time and again. Yes there is justice and consequences from sin, but there is mercy and grace which ultimately triumph in Christ! What a loving, patient and merciful God we have!!!
