How do we keep on facing life? In this fallen world we seem to be always coming into a problem, currently dealing with a problem, or just going out of a problem. Will there ever be a day when we’ve made it through?
The Apostle Paul says it is only in Christ who makes us what we are that we can make it through. In utter dependence on Jesus, we have the strength to handle not just some things, but any and everything! The One who goes before us is our life.
I love how Eugene Peterson puts our Philippians 4 passage in The Message: “I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.”
Have you known someone who faced a horrible tragedy and held on tightly to the Lord through it all? You think, How do people ever get through this sort of thing without the Lord? Because Jesus made it through death and hell for you, rest assured that you will make it through the big and small problems of your life.
